Another mitigation system has been installed successfully by Akron Radon! This was a simple 1000sf ranch with partially finished basement. The unique feature we had to overcome in this home was the old baseboard waterproofing system. If you haven’t already, read our blog post on waterproofing and radon so you understand why it can be a problem. In this case, we simply used backer-rod to fill in the gap on the ‘baseboard’ to create good suction. The benefit of a waterproofing system is that we almost always get excellent pressure-field extension…and this was no exception. Take a look:
